The Station Owner Dashboard

Learn more about the actions you can take as a Station owner

Game Mechanics for Station Owners

Railroaders that own Stations have access to a number of tools to help them manage their stations. These tools can be found on the Station Owner Dashboard.
To open the Station Owner Dashboard, simply click on a Station that you own. The window that appears will look similar to this:
Hey, thanks, Scootdude! Come back anytime.
The buttons on the right side of the window allow you to see information about your station, manage upgrades, change settings, and more.

The Rates Tab

Click on the cube icon to access the Rates tab.
Wow, what great rates! Maybe I should visit Midnight Station...
From here, you'll be able to view your Station's current Commodity rates and Preferred Commodities.
You'll also be able to boost the rates of chosen Commodity Types to incentivize visiting Railroaders to ship certain Commodities to your station.
This feature is still in development.

The Visitors Tab

Click on the person icon to open the Visitors tab.
Look at all those chickens. And by chickens, of course, I mean visitors.
Here, you can see stats related to the number of Railroaders who've sent trains through your Station.
The buttons on the left side of the window change the time period displayed by the graph.
The dropdown list at the bottom of the window allows you to switch between viewing:
  • All visits
  • Unique visitors
  • Top visitors
Clicking on the "CSV" button in the bottom right corner will allow you to download a .csv file containing all the information about your visitors.

The Tocium Tab

Click on the Tocium icon to open the Tocium tab.
"Some days you're hot, and the coin flows like water. Some days you're cold, and the coins? They're in everyone else's pockets." —Tommy Two-Pair
The buttons on the left side of the window change the time period displayed by the graph.
The dropdown list at the bottom of the window allows you to switch between viewing:
  • Station earnings
  • Top visitors by commissions
Clicking on the "CSV" button in the bottom right corner will allow you to download a .csv file containing all the information about your visitors.

The Gifts Tab

Click on the gift icon to open the Gifts tab.
A pool full of gifts? I feel like it wouldn't be very easy to swim in...
On this tab, you'll be able to create gift pools and special events for your visitors to participate in. Giving out gifts is a great way to convince other Railroaders to send trains to your Station—and that means more Tocium for you.
More details will be posted when this feature reaches a later stage of development.

The Billboard Tab

Click on the chat bubble icon to open the Billboard tab.
Use your billboard to advertise your own blockchain project, or just to show off your artwork. What will you put on display?
Here, you can update the image that displays on your Station's billboard. 661 x 364 are the recommended dimensions.
To do so, follow these steps:
  1. 1.
Encrypt your image using the IPFS (Interplanetary File System) service.
  2. 2.
Copy and paste the IPFS hash of your image into the box at the bottom of the Billboard tab window.
  3. 3.
    Click the "PREVIEW" button.
  4. 4.
When your image loads, the "PREVIEW" button will be replaced by a red trash can button and a green checkmark button. Click the trash can to delete the image or the checkmark to confirm the upload.
If you want to replace your billboard image, you can click the "CLEAR" button as shown in the picture below.
It says "clear," but it's opaque... I dunno, seems kinda messed up, to me.
BE AWARE that you can only change your billboard image after a cooldown timer reaches zero. Be sure to plan accordingly, if you decide to put up a new billboard.

The Staking Tab

Click the cards icon to open the Staking tab.
Oh, I was under the impression that there, uh... Would be steaks here... I gotta stop writing when I'm hungry.
Your Station's staking pools will initially be locked, but you can access them by upgrading your Station for a Tocium fee. To unlock the Rail Yard or the Conductor Lounge, simply click on the image, then click the "CONFIRM" button that appears.
After you've opened the Rail Yard or Lounge, you can click on their image to access staking management tools.
There's a lot to unpack here. I hope you've got your unpacking gloves on.

Commissions

Click this button to adjust the commission rates for your staking pools.
15% commission rates? Now that's a deal I can get behind. Fetch my trains, Reginald!
You can set Commission Rates anywhere between 0% and 50%. Carefully consider what commission you want to charge your visitors to make sure you're Station is an appealing staking spot (while still earning a fair cut of the rewards).

Upgrade Tier

Click this button to increase the size of your staking pool.
Like an elegant wedding cake, every staking pool is made better by the presence of multiple tiers.
You'll be able to view your pool's stats at it's current level, and by clicking on the green "VIEW" button in the bottom right corner...
To continue with the cake metaphor? Or to pivot to a metaphor about the passion of my tears? Hmm...
...you can preview your pool's stats at the next tier. Tier upgrades come with an increase in both Public and VIP staking slots. If you're ready to commit to the upgrade, click the blue "CONFIRM" button.
Upgrades work the same for Rail Yards and Conductor Lounges, and the fee and expansion model works the same across all Station rarities. You can find this information in the chart below:

Manage VIPs

Click this button to edit the list of Railroaders invited to stake assets in your Station's VIP slots.
Oh, buff.pikachu stakes at Midnight Station? I gotta get over there, STAT.
You'll be able to see how many of their allotted staking slots each VIP is using and how much commission you're earning from each of them. If you wish to boot a Railroader from your VIP list, click on the red trash can icon, then confirm the boot action on the pop-up. Their assets will be cleared from your VIP pool and that person will no longer have access to your VIP slots.

Claim Tocium

Clicking this button will claim any commissioned Tocium you've accrued in your staking pool.
And then you can throw it all in a swimming pool and dive into it while mumbling "Tocium, Tocium, Tocium."
From this page, you can also view assets staked in your Station's Public and VIP slots by clicking the corresponding tabs at the top of the window.
On the Public tab, you can view everything staked by non-VIPs.
Ah, yes. The Public. Sweet, sweet The Public.
It should be noted that a Station Owner cannot stake in their Public pool. Use this pool to attract Railroaders, then earn commission on their staked assets!
On the VIP page, you can view everything staked by your invited guests.
Oh, you have to be Very Important to get in here? Does that mean buff.pikachu is here?
Here, Station Owners can also stake their own assets. An Owner can stake as many assets in their VIP pool as they wish, provided there is space. Upgrading your pool means more slots for staking your assets!
