Achievements

Good news, gamers!

What Are Achievements?

If you've played a modern video game within the past 15 or so years, chances are you already know what achievements are. But if you don't, that's okay! We're here to help.

Achievements are in-game badges you can earn for completing certain tasks and challenges. And now that you know, you could say you've unlocked your very first Achievement: The Gift of Knowledge. (This one doesn't come with a shiny badge, but we're proud of you all the same.)

What Kinds of Achievements are in ToC?

There are a variety of Achievement types you can work towards while playing Train of the Century. Achievement categories include:

  • Commodity - Haul assets of the associated Commodity Type for the specified distance

  • Region - Visit every Station in the associated region of the Centuryverse

  • NPC - Trigger a set number of interactions with the associated NPC

  • Streak - Make rail runs on consecutive days to uphold a gameplay streak

  • Special - Achievements that can only be unlocked by truly exceptional Railroaders

Once you've met the conditions to unlock an Achievement, you'll see a pop-up like the one in the picture above, letting you know of your accomplishment.

Where to View Achievements

So now that you've got a handful of shiny Achievement badges, where can you go to admire them? Well, you've got a few options, actually!

The first place you can see your Achievements is on your Railroader Profile card on the right side of the Railroader Dashboard.

Here, you can quickly see your featured Achievements. By clicking VIEW PROFILE, you'll be able to see your full list of Achievements and change which ones you have featured. Click here to learn more about featured Achievements.

You can also view the full list of available Achievements as well as your progress towards earning them by clicking the Achievements Tab of the Railroader Dashboard.

Finally, you can also keep up to date with which Railroaders reign supreme with their high Achievement tally by checking the Achievements page of the Leaderboards.
